David Harrop has been identified by our elders as our next Pastor of Global Ministry! David, and his wife Mary, partnered in overseas ministries for eighteen years before serving 6 years as the Missions Pastor at Westover Church in Greensboro, NC. His overseas ministry included church planting in France and serving in international pastorates in Germany and North Africa. His primary role at Westover was shepherding and administering the needs of more than 250 missionaries.
He has degrees in Biblical studies and intercultural studies/missions from Trinity International University and Columbia International University and is a candidate for his Doctor of Ministry degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. David loves teaching the Bible and has been privileged to teach God’s Word on five continents. He is also an avid runner (a marathon in each of the past four decades) and loves to read. God has blessed Mary and David with two daughters, one son-in-law, and a granddaughter. David is eagerly looking forward to being a part of how God is at work in the world through the ministry of Calvary Church. He and Mary also look forward to reconnecting with friends in the Lancaster area as they lived here 1 year while David served as a Missionary in Residence at Lancaster Bible College in 2012.
