Our COMMITMENT

Having become children of God, by grace through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ1, we will seek to Pursue Life in Christ together...

BY LOVING GOD

with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength,

and our neighbors as ourselves,2

worshiping and serving our Lord3

in personal devotion and through the ministry of Calvary Church.4

BY LIVING GOD'S WORD

learning what it means and doing what it says,5

personally and with fellow disciples,6

walking in the Spirit according to the Word, to transform us, more and more,

       into the image of Christ.7

BY GROWING WITH GOD'S PEOPLE

loving one another as Christ has loved us,8

praying with, caring for, and submitting to one another 9 —

as servants building up the Body of Christ,10 

and as peacemakers maintaining its unity,11

and as the Family of God strengthening families.12

BY GOING INTO GOD'S WORLD

proclaiming, modeling, and extending the Gospel here and around the globe,13

with Christ-like compassion for all people everywhere,14

in order to make disciples among all nations, as Christ has commanded.15 

BY INVESTING IN GOD'S WORK

faithfully, generously, and sacrificially with all that God has entrusted to us

in the ministry of Calvary Church and in the work of His Church worldwide,16

obeying God as stewards of His gifts 17 

and servants in His plan.18

Should the Lord lead us away from Calvary Church, we will seek to unite with another local church, continuing to Pursue Life in Christ.19

Our Father, thank You for the abiding presence of Your Holy Spirit,
equipping us with every good gift to fulfill Our Commitment.
Work in and among us that which is pleasing in Your sight, through Jesus Christ,
to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen! 20
