We believe children are a gift from the Lord.

As a church we count it a privilege to partner with you, the parents, as you raise your children. We have designed our Children's Ministries to be a source of truth for your child as well as a resource, support and encouragement for you as you train up your child. We also provide key learning opportunities for you as you navigate the different stages of growth.

A significant start to your parenting is our Child Dedication, Parent Consecration Class. In this class you will engage in a discussion of foundational biblical parenting principles and be exposed to an overview of Calvary’s ministries for you and your children. We count this class as so important that you will need to participate in it before you publicly dedicate your children at Calvary. You only need to take the class once.

Do you want to know more about what Child Dedication, Parent Consecration is? Please read our explanation in this booklet.

When you are ready to attend the class, take these 3 simple steps:

  1. Register for the class here.
  2. Prior to class read the Child Dedication, Parent Consecration booklet.
  3. Prior to class read Deuteronomy 6:1-9 and think about what the key principles for parenting are in the passage and how they apply to your stage of parenting.  If married, read and discuss together.

After you have taken the class you will be given the opportunity to register for an upcoming Child Dedication event.  If you attended a Child Dedication Parent Class after February 2014 and would like to dedicate your child, please contact Anna Fillgrove for instructions on how to sign up for a Dedication Ceremony.

The homework page given at the end of class can be found here for your reference.
