Curriculum

Children Desiring God by John Piper

  • Beginners - A Sure Foundation
The children will be taught 13 Bible truths throughout the year. Each lesson is repeated for four weeks with a variety of activities and learning centers each week that reinforce the concepts and Bible truths.
  • Changers - He Established a Testimony
A chronological teaching of Old Testament stories with the aim of acquainting each child with a great, big God. Key themes will be emphasized such as: “God knows everything” and “God is Holy!”
  • Pre-K - He Has Spoken by His Son
A chronological teaching of New Testament stories with the aim of acquainting each child with a great, big God. Key themes will be emphasized such as: “God is Merciful,” “God is Sovereign,” and “God is Faithful!”
  • Kindergarten - Jesus, What a Savior
A review of God’s Story from creation to salvation through the perspective of God’s plan from the very beginning. We teach the basic attributes of God and they hear a clear message of salvation.

Learning Centers

Bible lessons are taught through a variety of age appropriate activities and hands-on learning centers which all focus on one main Bible truth.

Workbooks (Changers, Pre-K and Kindergarten)

Each child will receive a coloring book containing the story titles, Bible references, and key themes which they will be able to take home at the end of the year and keep as an ongoing review of what they have learned.

Bible Memory

Children will learn a simple Bible verse every 4 weeks. Parents are encouraged to practice these verses at home each week as well.  A listing of each class's memory verses can be found in the links below.

Take Home Papers

Each week, the take home pages include the story title, scripture reference and key themes of the lesson. They give parents some suggested discussion questions to assist you in reinforcing and building upon the Bible truths presented in class.
