Throughout high school and college, Jordan was a very anxious and depressed person searching for truth. After trying to find that truth in Buddhism to Atheism, Jordan decided to give the bible a shot. It was a verse in Numbers that stuck out and eventually led Jordan to Jesus.
Growing up in a Christian home, Breanna new the truth about who Jesus was and how He could restore her relationship with God. During a summer bible camp, she was challenged to do more than just go through the motions but have a heart relationship with God. After that summer her family moved and caused her to lose the feelings that she had during the summer camp. It was at the Philadelphia missions trip the God taught her that who He is does not depend on how she feels but that He stays the same no matter what.

Recently, a group of hardworking volunteers from Calvary Church came together to bless Carmen & Diego Asin by building a deck on to the back of their home. Diego has multiple disabilities and is not able to get out much. It has been a desire of Carmen’s to have a small deck where he could easily go outside. A group of 10 men & women gathered at their house (in the 95 degree sun) to make this a reality. The team consisted of a wide range of caring people from Calvary Church that included an 11 year old boy; a 60+ year old man; a single twenty-something guy; a young married couple – some had a connection to Diego, some were parents of kids with special needs, some were just people wanting to reach out to this family. Praise God that the body of Christ came together to meet the needs of this family.
