Adult Ministries

Grow closer together as you grow deeper in Christ

The adult ministries at Calvary Church seek to provide three vital experiences that are necessary for the development of fully devoted followers of Christ:

1. A vital learning experience with the Word of God-enabling spiritual maturity.

2. A vital relational experience with other believers-encouraging spiritual community.

3. A vital ministry experience serving God and others-empowering the use of spiritual gifts.

Growth to spiritual maturity is nurtured through solid Bible teaching and training. This combination of teaching, training and biblical application to real issues prepares people for life and various areas of ministry.

Developing authentic spiritual community through smaller, caring groups provides a safe place to grow and share life’s joys and disappointments.

Service opportunities continue the focus on personal growth and community building. Designed to help people serve in an area of giftedness, as well as provide experiential learning, these opportunities encourage a healthy multiplication of ministries and leaders.

The following are representative of the quality, caring and connecting types of ministries available at Calvary Church along with Singles’ Ministry, Men’s Ministry, Hospitality Ministry, Special Needs Ministry, Medical Ministry, weekly Bible studies, and special seminars and conferences.

• Adult Bible Fellowships (ABFs). An ABF is the doorway to growth and fellowship at Calvary Church. These mid-sized groups focus on Bible study and caring relationships with the goal of growing closer together as we grow deeper in Christ.

• Women’s Ministries. Through a wide variety of relationships and activities, we seek to provide a safe place for women to connect with the heart of God and with one another. This takes place in weekly Bible studies, special events, prayer groups and other gatherings uniquely tailored to the needs of women. Come grow with us as we learn from, serve with, and enjoy one another.

• Small Group Ministry. We believe that people were created by God with a need for relationships in which to grow. With our common relationship to Christ through the cross and using the Bible as our foundational guide, small groups can help us grow to a mature, balanced life, demonstrated by the fruit of loving God and others. Calvary’s small group ministry seeks to provide the atmosphere where this growth can happen. Calvary Church also has a variety of support groups targeting needs such as grief, divorce, substance abuse, difficult family backgrounds and other challenging life circumstances. Pastoral counseling, pre-marital preparation, and marriage and family enrichment events are also available.

Adult ministries provide something for everyone. This is another way that Calvary Church puts the little into a large church family. For more information, inquire at the Welcome Center and check the information racks in the lobby.
